Early Childhood Education and Care of Loviisa
This is a recent project I have been commissioned by Early Childhood Education and Care of Loviisa to create background assets for.
The project itself is a series of educational booklets and programs for children of all ages to learn to better use the phones, tablets and computers they will grow alongside.
The story follows a group of three animals as they solve multiple problems throughout the day using technology. It encourages children to use this tech as a means of research and discovery instead of a device just for games or videos.
I was approached by the Lead Graphic Designer for the program to create lineless background assets that could be mixed and matched to create multiple unique landscapes.
I worked closely with her to not only match the style of the animals that were designed beforehand, but to also create accurate fauna and architecture that could be found in real Finnish environments.
I was eager to learn about the beautiful landscapes of Finland as well as how important the education of children was to the city.
